i dont know why they didnt post a fish count, but we did really good. the boat had 20 people everyone got to pull on a striped marlin just at grey light which was pretty cool! everyone had a good time mostly older group. they all had at least 5-6 yft up to 15 pounds and the dorado were huge. i lost one around 35 the jackpot was a dorado around 31pounds on the scale. everyone got one or 3 we got about 30 dorado total or so, we also got a lot of skipjack later in the day. fishing was great! i dont know why these other overnight boats in san pedro arent getting much, guess they give up already. sad cuz this el nino fishing isnt even clost to over yet water is 73-74.5 all day long even warmer off the west end of catlina. find the right paddy and its on ! might take all day to look for it and find it but when you do it pays off, guess thats that. good luck oh and a short billed spear fish mid morning and saw wahoo bite a skippy in half unreal lot of them wahoo around just didnt wanna bite

Glad you had a great trip out of Helgren's. Rick seems to be turning the O95 around. Now if the staff at the landing can improve, O'side may have a legitimate landing to fish out of. Of course, this is all dependent on Helgren's ability to renew their contract with the city of Oceanside that expires in 2017. If they can't, it would be interesting to see who might move in....
