Fabulous 2 days so far here in Lapush with Captain Steve...wow, what a resource. Nice grade ocean fish Thursday and ling/rock inshore limits today. Weather looks good for tomorrow.

Nice work Steve and crew. Really wish I was able to get Thurs and today off work so I could join in the slay fest! How many did Kurt ping? Haha. Steve, how is it that you always end up with blood on your face?

Thanks for posting pics Kurt. It was a great few days of fishing but Thursday and Saturday could not have been more different. Thursday was super nice weather and the bite was red hot. Ling, Hali and Rockfish we were abundant and we were able to keep some nice fish. The weather and hot fishing continued into Friday where we got our inshore lings and blackrock fish. A couple of the inshore lings were as big as some of the offshore lings. Then on Saturday the weather turned lumpy and the fish were harder to come by. We were jigging on the corner till 4:00 to get limits for six of lings and halibut. We were one of the last few boats left out there. We were not picky with what we kept Saturday. It is tough to keep motivated jigging a 3lb pipe jig when fishing is slow but everyone stuck with it. We were lucky that Thapp had a hot hand and caught more than half our fish. I sucked catching only a single Ling for the entire day of jigging. Fortunately the rockfishing was fast and furious to end the day. Can't say enough good things about the crew on all three days of fishing.

Thanks for the kind words Steve but everyone looked beat and I had to step it up to make sure we go home with fish. I sure was sore the next day but the cheeks I got sure did soothe the aches. Remember that’s what a team does!! Hawaiian tropics baby!!!
