Hi everyone! Based on the success of our last trip, Matt and the owner have agreed to offer another 56 hour trip! Since we were not able to fill it exclusively with 360, BloodyDecks and 2coolfishing members, this will be an open to the public trip, so if you want a spot, please book it now!

Hey guys sorry I did not set up a watch reminder on this thread. I will answer your questions:

1. The boat holds 35 people.

2. You are allowed to cast plugs typically we only cast from the bow or the stern corners because that is the safest place to cast from and the rest of the boat has overhead protection.

3. We go to which ever rigs are getting the best reports. The boat can go as far out as Perdido, last time we hit Magnolia, Auger, and a nearby drill ship. Matt will look for the best fishing reports to determine where he wants to go. We have 13 people book so far, and November is one of the prime months to catch bigger yellow fin over 100 pounds.

From Capt Matt:
We had a awesome trip, here’s a late report.
We left Sunday morning and after a 5 hour run we started our trip off bottom fishing over natural bottom in 350 ft. The Beeliners were there but the bite was slow but we did pick up some decent Scamps and both of our Warsaw’s.
At around 4:00 pm we left and headed for the floaters.
We started out at BV and Nansen because of all the recent positive reports from the area and with the hopes of finding fish close it would also have allowed us to run back inshore and bottom fish again the second day.
Those plans didn’t work out how I had hoped and by 10:00 pm we had 2 YFT and 1 BFT in the boat. I threw in the towel and we headed south for Perdido. After 80 miles we arrived at 2:30am to a wide open bite, from 2:30-sunrise we landed 36 more Yellowfin.
The second day was pretty uneventful only picking up a handful of YFT and a Dorado on the troll.
The second night we started at a nearby drill ship and the first few drifts were good, with a few nice yellows hitting the ice on each pass. Around the 4th drift we had a pod of dolphins show up and they killed our bite. We spent the rest of the night bouncing back and forth between the rig and the ship. The fish never got going like they did on the first night but we ended picking up around 20 more YFT and a pile of BFT. We caught a Swordfish on a jig and also lost a nice Mako during the second night as well.
It was a great trip with an awesome group of people.
Trip totals.....
60 YFT
175 BFT
10 Skipjack
171 Beeliners
14 Scamp
2 Warsaw
1 Dorado
1 RainbowRunner
1 Swordfish

We are. already planning trips in May and November next year!

Curious as to why you don't gill and gut more of your catch right after taking?
Photos don't always show the whole story,,perhaps your's are,and i couldn't see.

You couldn't see. Look at the picture of the two Warsaw and you can tell. The fish are taken care off , bled and iced.

tell us more about the swordfish please !
Forgot his name but I was fishing next to the guy most of the trip. Caught the swordfish on a pink glow in the dark jig, looked like a cheap knockoff, looked rear weighted and somewhat slender. Believe he was 800ft? Landed on an accurate 400 or 500 fury. Did not pull any drag and it just came straight up into the gaff. Very fortunate catch indeed.
