Short report for august 27 on a company charter trip aboard the Grande

30 guys on the boat half of them didn't had a clue about fishing & they were there just for the free trip, free beer, free gifts and free food haha but even tho they weren't fishing it was nothingbut good vibes enjoying the trip drinking and socializing

The plan was to head to the same spot everyone was going we left around 830pm on friday we picked up some dines and we left and we arive at the spot around 4 ish we were in front of pyramid cove and it was one stop all day
In the morning captain James was metering big fish but no luck on the big ones so we move closer to the island and from there we didn't move we had yellowfin boiling all day

Since only half of the boat was really fishing the counts weren't that amazing and we had tackle failure all day but still the ones that were fishing they all had a chance on decent size yellowfin and we put 20 yellowfin from 20 to 50lbs

My fish count was 5 and I lost a big one on the popper what could of been my first fish but thts fishing right haha after I lost tht fish I was kinda frustrated because my coworker who was his first time tuna fishing he already had 1 on the boat and so do others so I was like come on Miguel step it up haha so I started throwing jigs poppers, colt sniper live bait on 50lb floro for nada this fish were shy so I grab my 9ft UC mega and my saltiga 20 with 20lb izorline smoke xxx and 25lb floro lightest set up I had so I put the dankest sardine in the well and 10 seconds in the water my line starts peeling off 1..2.. seconds fresh one and like 10min into the fight my first tuna comes to the surface tail wrap and it was a nice 40-45lbr and I kept doing the same all day for 3 more in the same size awesome fights on light gear

My first fish got me second place JP and $200 cash

Overall it was a nice trip we all had fun drinking fishing and chatting the crew was awesome helping everyone ,the boat was big and comfy

Thanks for reading guys and go get them if you stay outside the crow how we did there is yellowfin everywhere so you guys can at least take something home

I saw you guys out there and I was surprised at the room at the rail. In the gyros, I counted 10 guys up the rail. Lots of elbow room.
