    Had a Striper ...
    Got eaten by termites and woodrot..raised fish though..
    Been lucky enough to have been fishing with Capt. Jerry ‘Seamount ‘ Meredith for ever....
    Taking the plunge myself.
    Getting an Aluminum boat from New Zealand.
    A 745 Extreme.
    No wood or Fibre glass .
    Lower keel fills with water when stopped for stability.
    Sealed cells so it’s unsinkable.
    Estimated arrival date is May 15.
    Hopefully in the water by June 1

    That's what I was thinking. Are you going to prime (aluminum oxide-based)/paint or somehow coat the aluminum? Maybe just use rubber mats. I suspect proper grounding and zincs will be important to keep any electrolysis issues in check. I'm sure both issues can be dealt with.

    Can't wait for yku to post up some bloody deck pics.
