Well its time to not buy any tackle if I can help it. Im 64 yrs. Very happy with all my rods and reels, i have plenty of tackle. Its liberating!!! I did 2 Bluefin trips so far this year and bought nothing. OK I did restock my CB hooks because of the fear of them being unavailable but i really didn't need them. If I do buy anything it will be a MAK20 right now my biggest is a 16, so far Im pretty confident in not needing anything bigger. Whats my point here nothing just a guy soon to be a Medicare recipient babbling.

You’re still just a kid, your run ain’t done. Buy a reel and a rod to go with it, a couple more jigs and get after it. I still have three trips on the books and each is longer than the last.
Your retired. and my run is far from done. Nice fishing with you last weekend.

that's how it goes..... fish are big and mean right now, All I need is a 20, then a rod, then some 130 lb line marked every 50 ft, then some 300 lb leader.....etc., etc., etc.

    Well Terry, I could've loaned you a Mak 20/Viper 76 combo. I should've brought my Mak 16/Centaur 76 combo for myself!
