Chattin with Capt Alonso hes in Oregon at the show says capt roberto sent it on a panga to the docks to get it officially weighed. In transit now. Caught on balloon squid with a super seeker and most likely a okuma mak50. Super excited for them what u call a 400+ lber mega-cow? Hyper-cow was my suggestion. Super duper?

    My Buddy Keith caught it!
Supposedly it died after a couple runs.

The best part is they cut it up and didn't weigh it.

    I just talked to him.
He hooked it on the Balloon rig and it made two runs but then kind of almost died and was gut hooked. Got it in in under 15 minutes.
When they tried to bring it on board they couldn't and had to use the winch.

The fish wouldn't fit in the fish hold and the Marla captain didn't want to call over the Constitution or Apollo to put the fish in their fish hold. They were going to put it in a Panga and send it back (from the 3rd island- 115 miles) but didn't.

They actually had a panga come out to take one of the guys off the boat because he was sick/panic attack ($1300 for panga).

long story short , they cut the fish up and ate it .
I will post a video on Blue Chum later once he sends it to me.
