We caught a break in our New Mexico spring winds and ran up to the Juan for a quick session. Flows were at 600, which is about as perfect as it gets, with clarity to a couple of feet.

The fish were happy to hit the usual suspects, and I committed to euro nymphing for most of the day with an 11’ 3wt. All told, I managed a couple a dozen C&R’d, and went 1 for 3 on some leviathans that will haunt me til next time.

Needless to say, still loving my relocation to the Land of Enchantment..

The Juan!! Fond memories of ridiculously easy fishing. Good for you by handicapping it with a 3wt.
I really, really, really want to just throw my shit in the car and take a road trip. God, I love spring!
