Have fun guys! Happy New Year to you all!
Hope all went well with your back surgery so you can get back to diggin
It's gonna be a chilly afternoon for the clams. This on the other hand, should warm your hearts!
Happy New Year!
Thanks Norm, I needed that!
Happy New Year to all! stay safe
I recall you have a couple great big hand warmers... Went north was a awesome dig !!!
Carrie and I had a blast clamming yesterday. We are trying to use more of our awesome Westport gear during the non fishing season so with Robodad's help we came up with a new way to clam. Cart by Goatram, Canadian bean bag chair by goatram, Thrasher rod by Jason, Wine by Westport Winery. Once again, We may not be the best at what we do, but god damn we love having a good time! Great time hanging out with Benjamin and his awesome family. What great people! In case you are keeping score. It was Carrie 15 clams, Her bait boy had 1. But today I will have redemption. I stopped off and picked up some Dom Perignon champagne. Maybe with that incentive Carrie will haul me to a better clamming area....
You guys s crack me up!
CBB, gotta love that!!
Not bad 120 clams for 4 of us in 45 minutes of diggin over the 2 day opener. Fantastic weather !!
That's a helluva nice haul!
What is your favorite way to eat them?
I like them best seasoned then floured, egg bath, smashed Ritz crackers and fried quick and hot till lightly browned.
Or chopped up coarsely then in the chowder.
Or I "can" them then make up some crab dip with cream cheese and garlic and have some Ritz crackers with the crab dip on them topped with a generous piece of canned razor clam and OMG your making me hungry !!
What a way to end 2017.
Ritz has different crackers make sure they are the original..
Allen, your post made me hungry! I didn't have any razor clams and had to settle for sardines on Ritz crackers. The originals!
What is your recipe for canning razors. I tried it before and they turned out terrible.
Hmmmmm... Wonder what happened. All I do is add a little olive oil and maybe a small amount of garlic or jalapeno then 90 minutes at 110psi and they turn out awesome imo !!
