Hello everyone,

Been along time and a few deployments since I have been on here, that being said I am probably going to head down to 3RM and get a new kicker tomorrow. How have the new Yamahas been treating everyone? I will be selling myT8 if anyone is interested.

I had the jets clog in mine once a few years ago. no problems since. It did take a couple of disassemblies to get it correct but flawless after that.

Welcome back!

And has great alternator output for using the riggers and pot pullers and not getting massive draw down

My 25HT has been fine but I'd go with fuel injection next time -

Bought new one from 3rm 2.5years ago. Great price and it has been bulletproof like all the other t9.9’s I’ve had. I have Honda mains but I will always use Yamaha kickers no matter what mains I run.

If it doesn't match your main, makes sure it is counter rotating to offset the paint clash.

Like Tony said, the T25 is great on a boat that size. But she is a cold blooded SOB.

Actually thinking strongly of swapping my 25HT for the newly released standard 25 that has fuel injection.

Bonus is that I wont f-up the lower unit if I leave it down accidentally...

The 20 Suzuki is very appealing. All electronic, injected, NMEA-connected, light and it has a rope start as a backup.
