Just took a Newell G338F in a trade...can someone tell if this is a good one for 30-40# iron? Seems the 332 is the popular favorite. Is the 332 narrower in the spool? Thanks

Yes it will work just fine. Should get a little more distance from a 338 than a 332, the trade off is guiding the line one the wider spool.

    Form my past reading:

Holds appox. 60 more yards of 30 mono
    332 is 320 yards of 30 mono
    338 is 380 yards of 30 mono

Last two numbers are x 10 yards of line
First number is the mono weight (lb test)

Same dimensions as a penn 500 jigmaster. A 332 is the same as a 99 size jigmaster.

I believe the difference is in the profile of the spool not the width. The 322 is narrower.

322,332,338 are the same profile. Only difference is the width. I know as I own at least a couple of each
