Just to let all those "Leftys" out there know, there are several new conventional models due this fall in the PENN lineup:

SQUALL II STAR DRAG SERIES [non-levelwind]:
12, 15, 25N, 30, 40 sizes.

FATHOM LEVER DRAG SERIES [2-speed]:
FTH15XNLD2
Yep I know, for some reason I ordered left handed reel, now when they come in I have to return them.

What’s difference between the 12 and 15 size. I know line capacity but is that due to the 15 being wider or taller?

Depends on the exact model.
The number indicates the reel will hold 300 yards of "that" pound test mono, which makes it easy to compare line capacities of dissimilar models.
The letters tell you more about the details of the reel.
Some "15's" are just a bit wider than a "12", but some are taller and narrower than a "12", such as the 15XN's.

Assuming you mean the new "Squall II" star-drag non-levelwind series, the sideplates are identical. The 15 is about 3/8 inch wider than the 12, but they are otherwise the same.
