    He is three, turning four next month. I started taking him to trout ponds last winter, when he was two years old. It was perfect for him because he got to use his Mickey Mouse fishing pole and it was much easier for him to reel in the fish. Plus, the trout pond at Mount Baldy is instant hook up, every cast. He loved the excitement of getting on an ocean boat this weekend, And surprisingly, he was patient to stand and wait for a bite.

    Awesome Dad!! I have had all 3 of my kids on the boat since infants. Now sport fishing I was skipper and once a week my wife might come out but in wheelhouse safe on bunk!! Those where my daughters they are 23,27 now lol but my son is 8 he went on a five day over holidays this year was incredible. I remember when he was that age. He liked to jump up in the air when went over swells!! Lol. Great memories!!! Good on you Dad!!!

    My son's first fishing trip was at 2,we were fishing on the Snake river in Idaho.He want to fish ,so for the fun of it I took some line tied it to a long stick and low and behold he caught is fish fish on that rig. Catfish.......... Now I get to watch him kill fish on the Thunderbird............ Yes I'm a proud father for sure.
