    Hello All:

Looking for recommendations for hard core skiff? Maybe 18-22 ft. I have owned 3 Blackmans two 26' Billfishers and one 26' express. Spent most of my time at SBI, Catalina and north Santa Monica Bay. Loved the diesels, hated the out drives. Considering looking for a 20' Shamrock w/pilot house. Opinions welcome

    Thanks
    Mike

The Boat Grotto in El Cajon had a 20 Shamrock PH for sale a few months ago, not sure if they still do. I like that platform as well and I think that is a good call.

I had a 20 shamrock pilothouse for 5 years. I put a spotter bucket on top. No steering. I then a blackman express straight shaft for 14 years. Sown aide of shammy,is 60 gal fuel tank and flat transom will beat you up in a head sea

Thanks, Blackmans do have a nice ride into the swell, but following seas can be challenging. Took me a while to figure it out.

    Thanks, how about a Stingari?

I have seen Stringari for sale on BD and they look well built. I guess it was a few guys that worked for Blackman that went out on their own. Not a lot out there. Not sure if they built straight shafts boats.
