Built by Wiseguy. Brand new, and has never seen a boat or a fish. Built on a 9’3” Phenix matte black composite blank rated 30#-80#. A one-off blank made out of the same material they do their Axis line out of. Sic Black Essex guides, cord wrapped w/ a Turks head.
Designed off of their Axis line. You get the rigidity and weight of a carbon blank, but load of a glass rod. S-Glass I believe. Phenix made these to resemble the baby Ulua. Blanks were sold exclusively at the 2019 FH Show. This is not a Phenix production blank.
I had the same blank wrapped on another rod, and it is a great 50# rod. Just don’t need 2, and wife was wondering why this one never moves off the rack.
Will have to meet at H&M early morning on the 30th, or can meet late the 29th as I’ll be driving from the Bay Area to SD for a trip.
