The politics is a mixed bag for me.
While I think the adults should be able to discuss and share ideas. The threads are usually divided down party lines. And then the thread takes a turn, usually because somebody can't accept somebody's opinion. And it breaks down to who can be the bigger idiot and come up with petty names that serve no purpose.
When that happens. I think those members should be banned from that particular forum.

As long as I can put the political forum on "ignore" I dont care. There is no bigger assemblage of idiocy than political posts in hunting forums and this forum imo.
The adults aren't at the table having a discussion. It's the idiots and nutjobs with a keyboard seeing their drivel on their monitor and feeling validated.

If someone posts political stuff on another forum, ban them from non political forums for a period of time..

Dislikes and Biebers need to be a thing.

We need more Kalitard vs Washigoogan flaming like the old days. That was fun.

Dump the politics, along with the "you can't comment on anything someone is selling". Minimum 10 real posts before you sell anything. Fucking looks like Craigs list.

The people that want political threads are those that have personal issues and need to vent on every topic they don't agree with.
Really Lou ? you of all people pointing out something like this ? You don't vent or discuss. You have a full on explosion and get carried away. You're the only one i've ever seen that has a hit list and publicly admitted it.So who has the personal issues ?

So it sounds like it isn't the politics, but the personal attacks. If so, then why not just ban personal attacks? I am sure exceptions could be found among my posts, but I try hard not to attack people, only their ideas. For example, rather than calling someone a liar, I demonstrate the falsity of their statements. Rather than calling someone an AH, I demonstrate their hypocrisy. About the only leeway I grant myself is to refer to groups of people with descriptive labels -- typically libtards. But I try hard not to call another poster a libtard, just perhaps the group of people similar to his own. And the labels I use never refer to ethnicity, sexual preference or other immutable characteristics, largely because the goals of liberty and justice and not constrained by those types of barriers. For the record, though, I believe we are all better served by a no censorship rule. That way we can better understand the mindset of other BDers. Plenty of libtards fish on my boat, but I am careful not to take anyone filled with hate and lacking self control. I can think of a few guys here who will never fish my boat, but only because their personal attacks reveal an intolerable lack of personal character. Too bad they don't move away as threatened.

In any event, banning political speech to address the problem of name calling is just like outlawing guns to address the criminal use of guns.

So to all the non-political folks out there...
It amazes me that every year I get hammered with Join CCA donate to CCA... That my friends is politics... The kind that takes your money and lobbies politicians.

Politics to me touches our lives in many ways... For instance California made it ok For a 21 year old to have sex with an 11 year old... And not have to go on the sex offenders list... There is a member on here openly ok with children giving adults blowjobs... Why aren't we more mad about that guy? Surely some of you are not ok with pedophilia...

The news isn't going to report on many of the effed up things... isn't going to talk about fushing bans... or how much California is sliding down the wrong path...
If you can talk to each other you can find common ground... if you censor out certain things... all things are open to be censored... just because you don't like it doesn't mean it doesn't affect you.
If you are referring to me you are fucking nuts. But for the record I am against pedophilia. There so put it to rest already.. Kook! Oh, yea no politics because shit like this is the result. Qanon alive a well on BD.. no thanks!

Politics is a part of everyday life and you can't have it both ways.....we all have been affected by politics that have been enacted against people that fish or hunt in damn near every state.... Calif, Wash, Oregon etc.....MLPA, Seasons, Fish Restrictions.
We need a place to voice our concerns and if people want to get involved then that's on them and it's very easy not to "Click" on a Politics forum....don't go there....problem solved ....Hard to ban politics as a practice but allow politics only when it affects our rights to fish or hunt......are those politics Local, State or Federal ?
Its still Bloodydecks and for some of us that remember the old days.....if you venture in you better have a thick skin.....keep the politics and let members decide to go there.....but bring a thick skin and remember it's just an opinion

When you google bloodydecks it literally says "warning not for the faint of heart" in the description. No one is forced too look at anything, just navigate away to the next post and stay away from new posts section.
The thing that makes BD different and great is that they have never tried to squash freedom of speech or exchange of ideas like other sites, you never know what you will see when you log in.

    **Besides the obvious "politics"

I think that peoples personally edited videos, video clips, should all go in their own separate section; backed on its own bandwidth. All these multiple 20 second clips of the same old fish being reeled in. Is slowing your guys wonderful platform down. Especially when they've got 2-4 videos in thier posts each at 2-9 minutes long. Its just unnessarly clogging up your guys system.

That would be cool if there was a designated spot for that. I understand why people want to share their excitment👍🏼 (Nothing wrong with that) but Uploading a video and then uploading the exact same video but from YT in the same post needs to stop. To many devises are all trying to keep and store unnessecary data systems running for you guys. It should clear up a lot of the glitching that goes on throughout the site.

It it's just an opinion (which means nothing) we love you BD your great! Thank you for the countless hours of knowledge and entertainment!

I am all for NO POLITICS. And it would also be nice for new members to have a threshold of posts before being able to make a classifieds post.

Or perhaps a threshold of "likes" to weed out the guys that post a bunch of crap just to "earn" the privilege of making classified posts. Better yet, some kind of ratio, so that their classified posting is incidental and not their primary purpose for posting.
