My son and I are thinking of pulling our boat down to Los Barilles late June and I have heard mixed stories on the road construction of the new HWY. anyone have a update for me? is it graded dirt road and trailer safe at this point? I have heard they have about 20 miles left to pave to get to HWY#1 and that it is nicely graded....Trailer ready. just go slow. has anyone traveled it recently???

    Thank you, Michael & Hunter

I just drove it last week. Yes, 20 miles and a road that you want to drive slowly on because there are a few rocks that could easily cut a tire. I also air down to ease the rattle. I did it with a small trailer and it was no problem. The road is traveled by diesel trucks with trailers so you should have no problem. If you air down, there is a llantera at the southern end who can air you back up. I bring onboard CO2 system so I air up quickly once I hit the highway.
