I need some fresh stock Classic coat 4 oz. kit (regular) as all I can find is highly discolored, anyone have a source? Previously I used small motors from Cabelas for rod drying is there anything better out there for a reasonable price?
Thanks, Tony

Look for free microwaves and things of that sort. Easy to grab the turntable motor. I use a hood fan motor for wrapping and a turntable motor for drying.

Go to the local swap meet and pick up a couple of the Farberware rotisserie motors. I usually get them for $5 each. Just use a 1 1/2" PVC cap for a holder and a couple pieces of scrap plywood and it will work fine. I have 3 or 4 that cost less than $10 each and they have dried hundreds of rods over the last 10 or 12 years.

I just built one using the head/ motor of an ice cream maker, $9 at Goodwill. Turns 38 rpm and made to run for hours at a time. Also made rollers from toy car wheels (rubber tires, not hard plastic), $1 at GW.

Thanks for the ingenious suggestions as they would obviously save a ton of money for this purpose. After some lengthy research I was able to order 2 "gear motors" for $42 ea. directly from Flex Coat @ 512 858-7742
I am still looking to order some Classic and I am wondering if I should just return to Flex coat or is there a superior option?
