Due to cancellation, we are looking for an angler for the Icy Bay lodge jigging trip in Alaska on June 24 - 30, 2018.
This trip is an ultimate jigging trip for big halibut, ling cod and yelloweye rockfish as well as king salmon in a remote area with stunning view. It is common you catch 1000 lb fish on jigs in a single day.
We jig on sea mount in 100 ft using light 6 - 8 oz jigs.
If you like to jig big halibut or ling cod, this is the trip.

What is the cost of this trip
The rate is $4000 except airfare to the lodge, tip, tax and fishing license
The original rate is $4500 and they give $500 discount for our trip.
We are 7 anglers and there are no other group except our group for the whole trip.
The lodge is located 60 mile off Yakutat and there is no other human being around the lodge.
It is luxurious operation serving fine meals every day. Fish cleaning and packing are included and you can bring 100 lb or more fish home free of charge if you like.
I fished many different parts in Alaska like Sitka, Kodiak Island, Seward or Homer in Alaska and there is no other places you can catch big halibut, ling cod or rockfish on jigs in shallow water like this place.

I have never been to Alaska. I have a lot of long range fishing equipment for 10 to 14 day trips. I am curious as to which reels I would need? Thanks. Don
We use 40 - 50 lb main braid line and 60 - 80 lb leader line. We use drag of 16 - 20 lb.

Are we talking about a planned trip for 2019? If so can I get the details.

Are you full for July 22nd? Is that the travel day in and 7/29 is departure day? Are rain gear / boots provided by the lodge?

The trip is full , but we can add one angler. You got to bring your own rain gear and boots.
The departure date is July 28.

I am planning to do it again in 2019 as there are three anglers who want to go in 2019. The dates are not set yet, but it is probably from late June to early July.
