Recently bought a custom rod from a guy that said it’s a grafighter blank. Went home and my brother said it’s not a Grafighter and might not even be a Calstar because he said this rod is completely graphite instead of the glass or composite(half graphite, half glass) that Calstar use for their GG and GF blanks. Tell me what you guys think. Attached is the rods overlay picture. This section is 3’ from the butt. Rod measures 7’8”. Taking a trip to calstar in a few weeks but if I get help here, it would be great. TIA. Btw, no markings under butt.

Did you pull the butt cap and look for labels? What does the top 12 inches look like? Might be a Rainshawdow.

maybe post some more info about length of blank, caliper measurements of od of tip, butt, n thickness of butt material. also let’s see pix of blank near tip.

that pix u have not enough to really tell. but if blank doesn't transition to glass, not a grafighter.

total dick move to sell as something it is not, but dont jump to conclusion yet.
