So I already know about using NDBC (http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/) and checking swells and winds. So my questions are:

What swell directions and heights and periods are ideal conditions, good conditions, fair conditions, and bad conditions? (I have an 18 ft center console)

I currently use Fish Weather to look at wind in areas where ill be fishing.

How do you guys check for actual weather (cloudy, air temp, sunny, etc.) out in the ocean or check if there will be rain? For example, how would you check the weather forecast at the 302

Lastly, what conditions recommendations do you have for an 18 ft center console? I went out last sunday it was pretty choppy with 3-4 ft west swells at 9 seconds and 2 ft south swells at 12 seconds

    Thanks!

Magic Seaweed Mission Beach five day forecast with a lot of information. It will show you primary and secondary swell directions. When they are 90 degrees apart it will be choppy out there.
