I know it is 5 months away but wanted to know who has started to make plans?

As you can tell I can't wait, it starts the fishing season for me.

I have fished many areas around Neah Bay, but one that I have heard good things about and want to try this year is the Prairie. Does anyone have any info on the prairie they would like to share?

I think the Prarie is a ling cod spot 6-7 miles north of the C square halibut spot. Maybe a little west too.

It will be our teams first time fishing out there for the BUTTS and big KingLINGS but can't wait. There are lots of GPS #'s out there but you never know how good they are or truthful. I've heard SW corner over and over and then head out West and find a spot out on the prarie. Hopefull the weather will cooperate and let us search out some new ground. As always appreciate any info as well and anyone that would like to buddy boat that knows the area let me know. Thanks.

If your fishing out of Neah, you don't have to go that far if you don't want to. Head straight out to Swiftsure bank. Again, follow the crowds.

I talked to the guys at burley's hide away rv and they still had a few spots open for the Hali opener.

Its not much, but he has full hookups and is right behind the hobuck beach rv park.

All of march and some of April. Don't remember the cut off date, but you can fish deep well into April!

Praying to Oden for good weather.
Why would you pray to a Japanese dish for good weather.....?

I would expect a "Swede" to be able to spell Odin.... Disappointed dude......LOL

Deep water lings are OK on non halibut days?
I doubt it, the regs still say May 1st starts the 20 fathom rule and halibut starts after May 1st !! You can fish for them every day of the week before May 1st though !!
