Just wanted to make sure that lecture you are fixin to give me about preseason poles is deserved T, as I do remember last year.

How does "THE Ohio State University Buckeyes" end up in the top five after losing eighteen starters? Must be a lot like fishing, the ability to be successful is a lot about about depth. At this point, seems we are trolling at the proper elevation. :D

To the rest of the BD Sports fans, including Gil, how do you like your teams chances?

SDSU will be there after a beat down (hoping beyond hope) at home against Cal. If there is a year for the Aztecs to break out, this is the year. NY6!

Congrats on that win against Cal. Hawaii and now SDSU have exposed Cal for having no defense.

And for KnotyBuoyz, hadn't looked at BD in awhile. Been busy with projects on the house and dealing with end of life issues with my mother and my mother-in-law.

I really don't pay much attention to preseason polls as they're pretty much legacy polls. No one really knows who will do what until they play the games. Yeah tOSU is loaded and they've got Urban Meyer and they play in a Conference that only has 3 teams that are worth a shit, so yeah they should be ranked.

As for the Utah Utes, they have one of the top DL's in the country. The overall D is very good. Cautious optimism on the offense, but with 6 TOs against BYU and still winning the game, that does not bode well for Conference play. Need to clean that up or they're Looking at a 6 or 7 win season. And yes I was at the game in our traditional seats on the 50. How about yourself. Been to any tOSU games, or are you just an Internet smack talker?

Prayers for your mother and mother-in-law.

Great Aztec game last night, hope I get my voice back before work tomorrow. Next up is Northern Illionois without their starting QB. God! It's weird to be winning!

Ohio native living in SoCal, so answer is no, have not been to any Buckeye games in recent years. I have season tics for the Aztecs and the game last night was fantastic.

Best wishes to your family and good luck to your Utes this season.

Much respect for your support of the local team. They deserve it.

Although I don't have high hopes for the Trojans, I still have Stanford. They looked OK last week and bye this week, but too early to know.

Yes they do. It is a shame more people don't follow them, especially when one can get pretty good seats for the season, for as little as $105. It is a good brand of football, they have always had good O-line talent and can run it, with an aggressive defense. Should be a fun season.

Utah is 3-0 and #23 in the Coaches Poll, #24 in the AP poll.

Defense is as billed. One of fhe best among the P5.

Offense is still a work in process.

Next game is USC in SLC. Vegas line is Utah -4.

I will be there for the game with my brother in some choice seats on the 50. Meet up with my wife after the game and head north to Montana and BC for some fly fishing.

    #23 in the Coaches
    #24 in the AP

Utes are rising. This Friday they get USC. Utah is #2 in the Nation in sacks with 15 and with USC's OL, they should be able to add to that.

Here's a little vine clip of Lowell Lotulelei just rag dolling his opponent last weekend:

SDSU may very well go undefeated this year. However, their strength of schedule is terrible and the MWC is beyond terrible. Their only remaining opportunity for a quality win, and national significance, would be for an undefeated Aztecs team to play an undefeated Boise St. team in the MWC final. If that happens, the teams will play in Boise as the national polls will decide where the game is played and, I'm sure, Boise State will be ranked ahead of SDSU due to their more difficult schedule.

They have just as good of chance as any other team in this town. Unfortunately, given the playoff structure, they probably will not get in even if undefeated.:D

Utah has suffered a rash of injuries at key postions. Have to downgrade expectations from here onward. Development year for younger players.

Depth is an issue for most teams when key players go down.

I was thinking this was a development year for The Buckeyes and was surprised when they started the season ranked in the top five. Pretty sure I heard them say they were ranked 128 in experience and are the youngest FBS team during that beat down they issued Oklahoma. Expectations are trending up a bit.:D

Lost two starting receivers, including 2nd ranked receiver in the PAC 12 (Tim Patrick). Lost All Conference OL JJ Dielman who switched to center after they lost center Hiava Litui in Spring. Lost all conference DE Kylie Fitts. Projected 1st round draft choice Nose Tackle Lowell Lotulelei was out for his second straight game. Starting receiver Corey Butler Byrd stayed home with shoulder injury and his GF having baby. FG kicker has a couple broken bones in his foot, from what we don't know. Lost all conference CB Marcus Ware for the game.

Watching game on Football in 60. DL is not the same without Lotulelei and Fitts. Without pressure on QB, freshman CB got torched several times for long TDs.
