Just opened the So Cal Gas bill, ouch! Double from last month. Anybody else feeling the same pain?

YES our bill was 500.00 never had one over 100 even when heating the pool. Wife likes a cranking fire in our room every night in the winter so I keep the gas on to assist it. Stopping that practice I even bought fire starter sticks today. Also I just doubled the amount of solar on the house cause we still get crazy high elect bills.

we received the E -mail last weekend just before we get the Bill , pretty much telling us to get the Vaseline ready .

We used 20% less gas than a year ago, this bill was about 300% higher.
I will soon be trading madmacs for firewood in the classifieds.

Wow! We're on propane. It moved from $2.50 last summer to $3.00/gal last month. 490 gal was $1470. Thermostats on 60-64˚ and we'll also burn 5 cords of wood. I live to chop wood. Swinging an 8# splitting maul is almost as much fun as casting 8 and bait. I said almost.

3 bedroom 1500 ft² home in Oklahoma Our gas bill was $130 last month. Going to a whopping $160 this month. Our thermostat doesn't go below 75°. We don't burn wood or coal.
