My Son's First Lobster Trip- 12/9/2017

Decided to take the little man (age 6) hooping for the first time. We were treated to a fireworks show right before we started pulling, courtesy of a harbor boat parade.

Managed 4 legals and probably 50ish shorts. Absolutely perfect weather and conditions. Couldn't have hand picked a better night.

4 legals. But yep, lots of shorts to pick through last night. I don't mind it though, keeps it interesting, and lots of shorts means lots of legals in the years to come. I hope.

Which Harbor? I have been hooping and diving quite a bit in Long Beach this year and not much luck, mostly 1-2 per night.

Me too. Been slowly taking him on more trips, longer trips, earlier morning/later night trips so he's more than used to it when he's a little older and more self sufficient. Love being on the boat with him.
