Put together a quad rod dryer for my workshop. Features Fuji chucks, a digital timer which shuts the whole thing down at the end of the (Programmable) time so I don’t forget to turn things off, 4 DC motors with variable speed control, a heat strip to warm the cabinet (it’s located in my finished basement which stays on the cool side) controlled by a digital thermostat, and LED light strips for inside the cabinet and under for additional bench lighting

waiting on a bunch of wheels to make the rod supports

I could see a lot of rod builders wanting something like this, especially in the colder climate areas. Awesome craftsmanship.

A work in progress...
How long of a rod can get in there? I've never seen anything close. Well done.

So I assume you don't just dabble around when it comes to rod wrapping. o_Oo_O

Gotta love a PID for maintaining temperature. I’ve used one for like 20 years for powder painting and reflow soldering. Wifey even uses it for candy making.

Time to post some of your rods, if your dryer is that nice you must do some incredible work.

Damn. Really classy, nice! Looks like rotators we had in our Science lab. I used old BBQ food rotor motors for 25 yrs, before buying some plain old Pac Bay motors., I have clamped to my bench. They look like shit but work. Jeez, that would probably cost a lot to build. And more if you sold one. What would they sell for if you made for selling>. I couldn't afford one... but really interesting.
