So, I am sitting in La Cruz Huanacaxtle, just north of Puerto Vallarta and taking a break from shooting yellowfin and snapper day after day. Air temps have been 85-90 EVERY day and water is blue and 77-78 degrees at THE spot. Looking down the list of threads it's pretty evident in the big shoulder yellowtail post that we just cant help ourselves from throwing up a pic ( or 2 ) looking to one up another. Well, I'll be the first to unzip and lay mine on the table. Although not the biggest I have shot, was definitely the best DAY I have ever had on the yellows. Farnsworth, August of 2015! 10 fish in 4 hours ranging from 28-37.9 lbs. ( and yes, I did have a certified scale). Shot these fish taking only 9 shots, as the last two came on a double! Had not one, but two boats come by that hadn't been bit all day, asking if there were fish around. After telling them that there were schools of 100's everywhere, I swam over and tossed a 30 lb. fish on their swimstep. Both of em.Lets see what you got! Oh, that is an actual body bag I finally got to pull out of the trunk!;)

    Very well produced video John.

Wonder if that's where the expression "like shooting fish in a barrel" came from?

It’s amazing how much difference there can be by diving down versus just cruising around!

Say hi to my buds with Marlas Sportfishing for me.

We went with a big ass cooler and reliable bag full of ice. Actually taco'd the hull of my 18 foot rib on the way home. Running so fast to get back we flew over the backside of a swell and heard a crack. We had 15 fish in front of console dumped all the ice on em and covered em with wet towels and our wetsuits! It actually worked very well! That was for pics, trust me I take real good care of my fish!
I am pretty surprised that not one person has posted a pic of their most epic local catch!! That kinda was my intent.

I'm not sure if mines any bigger but it is prettier.

Local fish, looks smaller in this pic compared to some others but I like that one the best. Long fish with a really big tail. Nice shooting by the way. Really enjoyed that vid.

Nice video. You rigged breakaway to float? Didn’t see a reel on your gun.
