Just like the title says: I just got a 458 SOCOM upper and a .50 Beowulf upper for my AR’s. I’ve read conflicting reports about the recoil. Should I get a brake for one, both, neither? Just curious what everyone’s thoughts are on brakes, if they work, don’t, worth the $, not, etc. particularly for these 2 rounds. Thanks!

I have a panzer brake on my SOCOM and it works good. recoil is no big deal, but definitely more than a regular AR.

Regular birdcage on my 458 socom works for me. Recoil is not that bad and I hate brakes, especially while hunting.
