    9/16 PM

Hit the mussel farm in the chop afternoon yesterday for nada. Jumped in the water with the spear. Water was too dirty too see more than 10-15'. Didn't mark anything or see anything.

    9/17 AM
Hit the mussel farm for the same as yesterday afternoon. Dirty green water and several degrees cooler. Worked all over that damn thing in and out of the water for nothing. Went to the 150. All the usual bottom grabbers there. Checked the rigs for breezing yellows for nothing. Headed towards the A-Bank and saw some killer kelps with nothing but bait. I could have got the bottom grabbers at the 150 but was looking for YT.

Side note. I heard a few guys on the radio talking about yellows biting well on the island a click west of Avalon. Other than that, it was silent in my zone. I could hear all the BS down south about tuna and dorado though.

    Thanks, hope this helps.

I did use the macs I made to chunk at Izors to catch some fat bass on the 80g sniper. Sore lips on some bass, no death

Tough making macks? Yeah, we had a heck of a time last Sunday night making 20 pieces around Nacho's barge. Usually it's wide open. Tried all the tricks and only picked away at about 15 after an hours time of effort. Strange.

Take a can of cat food and toss it out just outside the breakwall gate. Won’t take long to fill the tank

We tried on Sat at A gate but had no luck but then we also forgot the cat food!
Be warned it is rough out there on Sat. As soon as we left that spot water was breaking over the wall!

I was joking. The prior someone caught a wahoo and everyone said it was impossible, then people were catching them all over OC waters.
