I just picked up a 21' Valco baja bayrunner 2002 . Going to put a stryker 300 top on it. Looking for the best way to mount it so it doesn't loosen. Has anyone done this and have some ideas, I'm a rookie when it comes to these things. My ideas is to remove the deck and 5200 some aluminum plate backers to underside of wood deck and then attatch. Any other ways that are better or easier? Thanks

Yep. Through bolt with backing plate and plenty of 5200 or even better, use a fiberglass backing plate so that it never corrodes out. When I installed mine, I had no under deck access so I used strap toggles with 5200 and never had an issue. It was a rock.

Hey Scott, I have a glass deck and used the screws Stryker provided with 5200. No backing for me as I cannot access underneath. Has been installed for several years now with no issues. The toggle bolts would have worked though now that Tanner mentioned it.
With a wood deck I would use the fiberglass backing plate and 5200.
Anybody else have a Stryker? How did you secure it to the deck?
These t-tops are really solid once installed. You will like it. Good luck with the install.

The previous owner installed mine with the screws provided and after about 4 years they were pulling out of the deck. They were installed with silicone though, not 5200.

The toggles worked really well, I'd recommend them if you have no access.
