I realized I didn't have permission to post them... they were not mine and the photographer was worried the seiners would get on them if the info was made too public. Anyway... word's out now. They are 100% Thunnus orientalis I saw more pictures from today. No albacore.

I was up there last Sunday fishing on the charter boat Checkmate. I said to the deckhand “it sure looks fishy, if we were 300 miles south there’d be BFT around for sure”. He then told me of four reported yellowtail caught the day before. Sounds like the BFT found those good conditions up there. BTW I shut the salmon bite down, it had been or good action until I got there. We had 4 fish for our 20+ anglers, I wasn’t one of the lucky anglers.

I never clearly saw a tuna in that video and I still haven't seen any pics either. But I did hear they were catching limits of opah about 6 miles outside the golden gate.

I live about 30 minutes from the Bay and yes BFT have been here for 2 days. Now everyone has chased them and ran them over and they went down.
Water conditions change so quick because of the canyon its anyone guess if they have moved on.
As of today I have not heard of anyone finding them on the water.
