Hit the Mexican flag tab, change it to US flag then everything will be in English.

I'm not sure what site or links you are using but I use this all the time and it works fine and is easy, it is through the sportfishing association https://www.californiasportfishing.org/fmm-visitor-form This also has an option to use either spanish or English... ALSO if you use Google Chrome it will translate the site into English for you. The only thing I need to warn you about, IF your getting a TIP... it tells you what docs you will need but doesn't mention that you have to have your visa to be able to get the TIP. The Mexicans send your request back and say you need another legal document but don't tell you what document it is, this will drive you up the fucking wall, so remember to have your visa when you apply for a TIP. And YES you have to have one to enter on the water. There is a lot of confusion about this, and Mexico contributes to this because you will get different information from every different agency you talk to. All you have to do is use some common sense, REMEMBER this is on the water stuff, it's new, and it is all through the navy. A TIP is now required to enter on the water, there are several different ways to get a visa, but the only one that will work on the water is the one you get on line that is through the NAVY. You will be sending your manifest to the Ensenada port of Entry, why? Because it is through the Navy. After you get one on line you will find out that it is super easy and there is absolutely no fucking way that driving to the border to get one is as easy. I can't even believe people do that and recommend doing that to others, not only not for the water you must have nothing but time on your hands to kill.
hang in there it is easy after you do it once, and remember Google Chrome if you need something translated

Your lucky they didn't separate you from your boat and put it in a "contracted holding facility"

I'm curious too. I always get the FMM and have the TIP, just seems lame to risk it. but wondering what percentage of boats do risk it. I've fished Coronados about 15 times in the last 12 months and always had it but never seen the Mex Navy?? I do fish during the week 90% of the time.

Earlier in the thread a couple guys said Mexican locals/Navy love T-shirts and stickers. Ill be carrying some of both with me along with a few hats at all times. Great idea I thought.

Fuck this bullshit. Fish the USA instead or keep 12 miles from Mexico's border . There's nothing in Mexico that you can not find in our border area. Why spend the extra gas and hassle just to catch a fish that has marginal food value. Spend your extra time looking for these same fish in your local area. I can not remember a day I did not return to my mooring in SD Bay without a limit of fish I was targeting. Including the poor tasting YT. Give me deepwater rockfish anytime.

I'm heading out tomorrow to LJ to see what biting but not until I vacuum seal a limit of rockfish filets from yesterday. Mainly orange rockfish that is, my favorite.

I've heard lots of stories of people being asked or told to leave, never heard a credible story of anyone losing their boat. Maybe they're still in jail?

Bad idea, the Mexican Navy is not part of Baja's crooked police force.A bribe may get you more trouble than it's worth.
