Hate to beat the dead horse but know your species and size limits. When in doubt throw it back. Also you realized all fish shrink once you pull them out the water and into the ice chest. Your calico bass might be at the legal size when you caught him but he's going to get smaller (shrink) later in the day. Just when DFG check your catch your legal size bass is now 1/4" too short. And from what I gather talking to a few DFG. They exercise the law to the T's. It's all about "Letter of the Law" when you encounter them.

I recently got a ticket for an expired tags at Huntington Harbor. Went to night court, and the judge dismissed the $209 fine that I was initially charged. I thought it was worth the 2 hrs.

I'm curious too. You may win, they may say take a hike, or they may just reduce it; but be warned that a reduction may be more than the initial fine. My brother's one and only DFG ticket got "reduced"; but after assessment and court fees, it was more than the original fine. He would have just been better off paying up front.

    Good luck!

Yeah, you have to put your pride aside when racial slurs and innuendos are displayed openly.

Be careful of who you vote for, you may get an asswipe for a representative, who condones this type of behavior, instead of volunteering to go to court with you and assist a fellow fisherman or woman in their time of NEED. :shithappens::finger:
