Hey Todd,

After weeks of longing and preparation, I was hugely bummed to be forced to drop out, but I woke up Friday morning with something called Piriformis Syndrome, basically a form of sciatica caused by muscle compression of the sciatic nerve. It hurt like hell and I needed a crutch to walk down the hallway. I had no business getting near a fishing boat (probably wouldn't have been able to walk to one anyways), very happy that you could take the spot and do so well with it. And thank you for the write-up too !

My son Mark (FKA as the "Human Hurricane") was still able to go (thanks again for the ride Terry) and he likewise had fun with that good group and caught a new personal best at 117# (200gram glow flatfall in the dark with 100# line with old school 2 speeded Penn 30T and Seeker Black Steel 6463xxxh).

Likewise Matt It so nice to fish when there is cooperation and most people know each other vs 30+ on an overnight boat. night and day difference.
PS my fish tapped out bigger! :-) I dont trust no damn scale on grass LOL.

But who cares.. when they have to lift your two fish with a forklift 8-)
She was a pig for sure.

Was a fun trip "That guy" was absent unless it was me !!. Watching those guys with the TLD's rented from Seaforth was painful. Mark and his crew were amazing as always.
    Lol
That was me and alex bro! It was nice fishing with you all! We decided last minute to rent gear cuz my crap was too light- heaviest set up was an Avet HX with 60 mono/80 braid.
Using those TLDs WAS painful - still can’t feel my arms and legs now....hahaha, but got the job done. I went 1/4 with mine weighing 121# dressed.
Mark and the crew were fantastic! Hope we get invited next year! Thanks Chuck, and Rick for stepping in as charter master!
    Epic!
tight lines to all my new friends!

Todd, you suck. Congrats on the PB!
I only pulled the Trinidad out as a joke but it landed me a fish. I think I’m going to get a Makira next.
Paid $400 for a Makira 15 yesterday. Those penn 40NLD2 were put to the test. But I am going bigger. Have a new blank called crowbar light from thrasher to match it. F me. We were all under gunned. Never again LOL

I had a Mak 15T w/60# and a Mak 16 w/80# and I had to keep switching them up. I would also bring an HX Raptor w/60# and an HXW Raptor w/100# for jigs and dedicate the 15T and 16 to sinker rigs. Of course, the only fish I landed was on 40#!
