this is the last of em.
So I’m pricing these as a package deal, at a crazy price.
4- meat lines

2 are setup with Alvey 725’s
1 is Alvey 505 on a Shakespeare Sturdy Stick
1- um not sure what it is, no markings.

First $175
$150 gets all 4

Having a yardsale this weekend, so don’t dilly-dally

BUMP

Dropping price to $150 for all 4.
Someone snatch these up so I don't have to put them on Craigslist.

Darn.

I fished the meaters back in the late 1970's in the PA area. Deadly, puts fish in the boat, but not exactly sporting. Hot spots, Tomics, and Tom Mack No. 5 were the sure gear.

Now wall hangers. Mooching is a lot more fun!

I really do not need them but would be a nice addition to my collection of Alvey and Pakron meat rigs.

Darn.

I have two Alvey and several Pakron meat rigs, all on the Pt. Defiance rods.

I would buy all 4 of yours for my collection (AKA Wall Hangers) if they could be magically transported to Port Angeles.

Pretty much how these were used. Dad used em in the early 80’s. Tomics or herring. Fished in small boats around Point Defiance & Anderson Island.
Bounce the bottom & come up 10 cranks.

I don’t get up that way but maybe one of the more traveled BDers would be our mule

I’ll take them if they’re still available and I can come pick them up sat. morning?
I will drop my interest, yours if you want.

Back in the old days, we could fish two rods with one lure each or one rod with two lures each, per person.

I would run a Tomic 6 feet above the cannon ball, then 18 feet up on a release would be a 18 foot leader going to a Hot Spot with a hoochie. Deadly.

You need very stout rod holders! Mine were custom welded Stainless. Sold them with the old boat.

Yea memories. Mainly used them at Green Point back when we could fish there in the summer. Flat bottom, I would bounce the bottom and come up five turns.

Saw guys fishing those around Point Defiance when i fished there. Saw many big fish brought in by those setups. Thought i needed one of them at the time but could never find one so just kept on mooching. Now out of WP is the downrigger or diver show.

They are around, I have 5 of the rigs and enough parts, reels and rods to make several more. But as I said above they are wall hangers now.

Try Narrows Marina, they used to make the outfits and just might have a used one in the back room.

This one has an Alvey but the big Pakrons work fine. The big rollers are mainly for keeping the wire line (100 pound stranded stainless) in good shape. The stainless line does not like small diameter rollers.

Nice to see an old thread pulled up.

The white rod blanks used to be sold by Narrows Marina. I have seen them on Ebay. Sort of a fiberglass cue stick with a wood handle and reel seat. I think Batson has the solid blanks, but without the handle and reel seat.

You could also use a 6 inch Peetz reel.

If using one you will receive strange looks from the boating audience. Not very sporting but they are legal if you follow the salt water rules in the sport fishing regs.
