Headed out Wednesday with Vince on his 23ft Striper to do some rock fishing, critter/trigger fishing and then wrap up the lobster season.

On the water by 11a. Beautiful conditions pretty much all day. The wind did pick up a bit in the afternoon but nothing too bad.

The days goal was to find some new red spots. Better to have many spots than to just have a couple. That's the reason why people like Vince always does so well.

Anyway, hit a some spots real quick before heading to new areas.

Picked off a couple nice smaller reds on the plastics and then Vince gets hammered on the plastic.

    6.2lb copper.

Left the area and our search for new reds began. The first 3-4 spots were empty.

Then we hit the honey hole. Another new spot with mostly all reds with a few other species mixed in.

Fished the double dropper loop and squid.

Vince with the first double reds of the day. Nice eater size fish.

I score a nice copper after that.

    Then a set of reds.

At 19 fish and the fish on the chew Vince decides to drop the iron for the last drop. Took a while to get down but, number twenty came to the boat with some iron in it's diet.

    Number 20.

Once Vince found the new spot, we were done in 30 minutes. Ready to clean and process fish for eating later.

While we cleaned the fished we drifted in shallow for halibut. Nothing.

Then off to find the might Triggerfish aka SM tuna.

Slow pick at perch and sculpin at first. Then Vince hooks up and knows what it is. If you have caught triggers before, you can pretty much tell what you got by the way they fight.

    Vinnie and a nice triggy.

I finally hooked the right kind.

    Lil triggy.

Got the nets ready and dropped them at 630p.

Started pulling at 8p and ended at 1130p. 5 rounds.

    12 legals
    6-7 shorts
    crabs

Cooler shot of season ending lobsters. A season that was good to us.

Thanks for the lobster rap up trip Vinnie. Hopefully this weekend isn't too bad. :D
