Headed out early Saturday with Vince on his 23ft Striper. Glen aka fishbum joined us for a great day on the water.

Weather was great and warm all day.

First stop was to make some sand dabs for lings although we didn't find any lings. Next time.

Then off to try some rockfish spots and see what we might find.

Fished 250-300ft of water. Squid as bait.

Pretty much every spot we hit had fish on them. We got limits pretty quick.

After that, we tried some shallow water for halibut and then bounce balled some deeper water. Nada.

Dropped nets at 5p and targeted some bass on plastics. Bite was slow but we did manage some here and there.

    Pictures of our day:

Heading out into the deep blue. Sneaker set in the background. Glad it didn't get us.

Capt. Vinnie with a nice copper to start the day.

Me with a greenie and a reddie.

Vince locks into a big red.

Glen and Vince with a couple never dies.

Lunch and dinner. Glen made some Musubi and they were great!

    Glen gets a nice red.

    Vince with a nice barbor.

I finally hooked a nicer red.

    Limits of good tasting eaters.

Capt. Vince looking out to see and hoping for a bass to pick up his plastic.

Starting pulling nets around 630p. Slow for the first 3 rounds with one legal. I actually laid down for a quick rest and woke up when they were done. Slacker I be. : farmer :

Anyway, Vince and Glen ended the night with a total of 8 legal lobsters.

    Back in by 12m.

Just another amazing day on the water with my good friend Vince. And it was great to have Glenn join us again.

    Til the next ride!

Glenn made the musubi two ways and it's the best I've had. He always makes a big batch for our surf fishing tournaments too. Perfect quick breakfast food. :hali_olutta:
