After heading out Friday with David in tough conditions, Vince and I decided to take his 15ft Duro boat out Sunday since the weather looked nice.

Vince made a great call because it was really nice. On the water by 3p.

Our goal was to hit some ling spots with plastics and irons.

First spot was slow but, it got better as we moved around. Some nice eater reds and coppers came out to play.

Tried hard for the lings but only managed one short on a BH swimmy.

    Eater red.

Found a nice school of eater reds. Vinnie and the vermillion.

Vinnie gets a nice red on the Bass Trix.

I dropped down and got hammered. I was hoping it was a big red or copper. Turned out to be a very nice sandoval.

Vinnie with one of the iron eating coppers.

This red loved my 5" BH X-Mas Tree.

This is not the ling we were looking for.

Capt. Vince with the day fading away.

Dropped 6 nets and waited 30 minutes to pull.

1st net had 3 legals!!! Gonna be a quick night...nope.

Got 7-8 more shorts in 3 rounds and one more nice legal in the last net.

Thanks for the nice Sunday ride my friend. We need to get on island time soon! :D

Awesome Report! How deep were you guys fishing? How did the bait caster hold enough line to get down, and what about the leadheads getting down, were they enough weight? Anyways, awesome pics.. I love the X-mas tree color.

You guys have that bay dialed the F in big time... nice job! I really enjoy reading your reports, i have my 17ft Montauk slipped in MDR and really do like your guys reports as it shows what a good local fishery the SMB can be.

I have been fishing/hooping it pretty hard the last few months and slowly starting to show some results (not close to you guys), should be a fun summer.
