'Looking to re-spool a bunch of reels w/ 50 and 65# braid...'leaning toward the smaller diameter braids to increase yardage. Cast-ability does matter too. What do you prefer between the 2 listed above (and why)...or something else?

I like both lines. For me, it would depend on the reels you’re putting them on and the capacity you need. The maxcuatro would be better as a kelp cutter line if that matters to you.

'Looks like the 50# diameters are .32mm for the Maxcuatro and .28mm for the Suffix. I got this from the manufacturer pages. Does this sound about right?

    .015" difference overall.

The MC uses Spectra which tends to have more abrasion resistance than fibers like Dyneema (commonly used in braided lines). Of course I will be an advocate for Power Pro since Shimano owns them.

37DE091B-3BA0-4F54-A1E0-00C863E9DB1F.jpeg I have 65# 832 on a Lexa 400...the Lexa is on a Raze 909T... the set up cast like a dream. 832 is great casting line. Been using the same 65# 832 for three seasons now catching numerous tuna and yellows on poppers and surface iron.
