We apologize for the lack of reports so far this season. The MBG fleet has been in the full swing of things since the middle of April. Groundfishing was steady through early spring, with a lot of pollock put on the decks of the boats. May was a little slow for us, but the groundfishing was still great. We even ended up with a few nice porbeagle sharks. The inshore striper fishing at the end of May into June was UNREAL. Lots of big fish taken on live bait in the river(s).

Offshore striper fishing has been excellent for the last month, with lots of big fish, and limits taken almost everyday.

The bluefin tuna fishing has been slow. There was a decent bite on giants at the beginning of June and then things slowed down until last week; another push of big fish came through. We managed to put a nice one on deck last week. 112" 913lbs.

We are still waiting for that big push of fish; specifically school tuna (50-200lbs) to come in. We should see the flood gates open any day now.

If you are coming to Mass and are looking to book a charter, give us a call/check us out! We are a multi-boat fleet out of Scituate harbor.

A quick update: Shark fishing has been nothing short of amazing for the last month. Multiple releases (averaging 6-8) on large blue sharks each trip. We are still waiting for more edible species to show up (Makos, threshers, etc). We are also still waiting for the large body of school bluefin to show up heavy in Mass Bay. There is still a slow to steady pick on giants though. We picked off another nice one last week.

If you are in the Boston/South Shore MA area and want to get out with us, give us a call!
