It's just the Internet, NOT the real world. Placing full reliance on any sole-source information is unwise. What guarantee is there of a posted photo's authenticity, in any event? I got lied to every day of my working life, for cryin' out loud. I think people would prefer to lie, then die, to telling the truth and living forever (if such was possible). The problems occur only when you base actions on those BS stories. It takes time and effort, but you must learn which info sources are giving out righteous data vs. those who just like seeing their text in print or who like to call misdirection plays. Developing your own intel might be the best course of action, but this too requires time and effort. I have hunted since 1965 and fished since 1962, and no factor in the equation is more consistent with productivity than is TIME SPENT AFIELD OR ON THE WATER. Every minute so spent is instructive, if you are paying attention. Bloodydecks membership won't short-circuit that reality. Even posted GPS numbers won't last--pelagic fish are movers, as are kelp paddies. Fishing and hunting, done in fair chase fashion, is actual work......and sometimes hard, thankless, and unproductive work. But we still do it, and still love it. Not unlike marriage and career pursuits at times. All things excellent are both rare and difficult--fact of life.

Not sure what he saw but I have personally had a yellowfin jump completely out of the water while hooked on a PL68 at night. The fish may have been disoriented by the light of the boat but it came completely out of the water with the big ol' glowie hanging out of its mouth. Randy Toussiant was standing right next to me and exclaimed "That was your fish" to which I replied...."I know...."

I guess there's always a first. But twice on different hook-ups minutes apart?

Now small bigeye will have long pectoral fins, just a big shorter than albacore. But I would not expect to see a bigeye jump while hooked, nor an albacore.

We can speculate all we want. The fish got away. The marlin was reported to be caught and released. Good job on that.

Ya a bunch of these picture kooks pulled this same garbage on us at the beginning of June over some big makos released without pics. Same crap, so we go out the next week, release 3 monsters, take pics of all releases at boat side, and not one of the a-holes who called us liars the week before said one damn thing about ones with pics. Not one of the turds had enough class to respond.

Ok you internet Donkey Dicks, you know which ones you are! I and many use this forum for intel before we fish, just as I am doing this morning. You see I get PAID to fish Tuesday thru Thursday every week entertaining my owners clients.... I'll burn 500 gallons of fuel this week and I want it used in the place where the fish are... So I don't waste my time with anything I determine to be unreliable, pictures are not what I'm looking at, it's what is said and how that catches my attention..
Agreed, I only post what I want or think you should know which is the reason for only 13 posts, I am more than Happy to load you weekend warriors with the Dope on the Nine, as you will do my homework for me, it's apparent you guys didn't find the stuff I did, but was hoping it wasn't a one shot deal.. Don't think there will many more for you Hens to Cackle about.
At 56 I can hardly figure out how to write on this thing let alone post pics, so on that note I'll send some pics to another member for posts to make you feel better about yourselves. I personally could give a Rats Ass what you believe, after 45 years of Marlin fishing, release has never been a question as it is a game for Honorable Men, I and many others have won many Release Marlin Tournaments based on Honor, not Pictures... The fact that we have released for the the past 25 years is the reason you get a shot at them now!! You new Breeds won't beable to handle that crap so save your money and stay home...
So, sit in front of your computers, stroking your Rod and standby for the pics.... Meanwhile I'll be on the water seeing it in "LIVING COLOR" and seeing GREEN $$$$ while you are Miserable with the lack of pics and your Pathetic lives!!!
For the rest of you, I hope this report got you in the right spot and hope you could make something out of it.... Good Luck this week!!

    Crackerbox,

    "roger that" good comments,

i see all these new "strokes" with the fancy reels and rods and they dont have any idea about fishing or ocean conditions!

Keep up the good work and hope to see you offshore in Cabo, Mag Bay, Cedros or the Lupe.
