The winged tuna was probably just an Opal. (Deep water cousin of the Opal-Eye)

    Maybe a midshipman too.

All kidding aside, nice work on all accounts. I need to get my ass out there.

That's a good point, the first time I saw a Mola breaching and saw the fin it looked like a huge fish from a distance. There are a ton of Molas doing that right now...

This poster has nothing to gain by slinging BS around.

Although very spotty catching being reported (hint) there are gamefish off the beach in nearly all areas. I consider this to be solid dope.

Congrats on a great day and thanks for trying to lead us horses to the water.

    ....oh...and today's interpet name is BloodyCynics :)

Why not just provide video from the NSA's UAV that is on daylight station at North 9? I love how keyboard commandoes basically call other posters "liars" with their insistence on pics and disparaging remarks if not catered to. Phuc yieu, say I. I'm running a boat, scanning for birds/boils/sonar data, and every so often hanging a fish, usually solo--so EXCUSE THE LIVING HELL OUTTA ME for not taking photos to satisfy your voyeuristic needs or accommodate your illiteracy. Photos can't be eaten, and that is what catching tasty critters is all about. The rest is effluvia.

Not calling BS on the post, but I'm in the same camp having never seen a tuna jump during a fight.

I had sex with Heidi Klum on the beach last night. I gave it to her so good, I made her forget the Seal. Sorry, no photos. I was just focused on myself.

I could be wrong but I think there is a guy named Scott who is a spotter/photographer that flies with the SAC spotter planes.

If you read the post they took pictures of the marlin they caught, not the flying fish. I dont think he is lying, but I do question what he saw. I have never seen a hooked tuna jump either.
