My Dad and I left the our slip in MB at 430 with hopes to catch our first marlin. Last year we had a couple chances but never connected. So 6:30am we are in the zone jigs are out and by 7 the short corner is screaming and after 30 seconds its off but the fish grabs the port rigger. We're on and this time it sticks.

After 2 hours of backing down and chasing the fish I finally leader it. A beautiful blue marlin. It was huge words can't explain the excitement.

So after some high fives and a short break the jigs are back out and by 9:30 there is another fish in the spread screaming back and forth hitting every jig. Finally sticks in the port rigger. 15 minutes later we release a striped marlin.

Awesome day on the water that will never be forgotten and a check off the bucket list for both of us.

WOW! So awesome, congrats! Look at the difference between the lower jaws of the two fish. That first fish is one odd and funny looking striper! :D

I have a harness at the house and let me tell you I wish I had it. After two hours that fish had me broke down but I stuck it out and got the job done.
