and there was this one time in band camp ...................
Call your favorite long range owner /operator and discuss this topic. Ask them if they are aware of anything happening in the past. I rest my case and like I said before, I really don't give a shit what you think. Tried to be helpful, that's all. Peace out.
I've been asked to toss it overboard... and I did. Not a big deal as I still had "friends" that had some. I've also been on boats where you could only smoke it on the upper deck or wheelhouse (with cappy of course). I honestly don't remember any trip EVER that didn't have someone smoking the MJ.
Always try to be on the D.L., look at the flags, they'll tell you which way the wind will blow it.
I seriously doubt Federalies or USCG would confiscate a boat for a minor amount of weed...... But, I think they can if the want to. It would really suck to be "that guy" that made something like that happen. However, if something like that ever happens, you can bet it's politics, not someone worried about a doobie or two.
Can I have a bite of your hot dog?
I'm just wondering the boats are after all private property and you're told it's not allowed so where does the discussion even begin to bring it on board?
Maybe I'm just confused?
Why is this conversation still going on. If you can't lay off the weed to get through a fishing trip, don't go.
When you sign up for a trip ,look at the disclaimer and rules , that should maybe give you a clue
Nobody is going to put any specific info about incidents on social media and if they do, they are really not thinking.
I keep getting flamed with the “I call BS “ responses and that’s cool with me.
You start posting specifics and you open yourself up for liable claims etc.
And if your captain has looked the other way in the past, why would you openly fuck him/them on social media?
Who wants that kind of attention? Friken cluelessness!
And for the OP that asked the question and started this thread, call the long range operators/ owners that you PERSONALLY know and ask them.
I believe my contacts know I’m not posting specifics of this nature on social media and will be straight with me.
I don’t know what else to say fellas. Flame me all you want, I couldn’t give a shit.
It’s funny the different experiences we have. You don’t remember a trip ever without someone smoking it. I haven’t been on a trip with anyone smoking it in years. I remember a well known and respected poster telling how he was called up to the bridge by the captain because his son was smoking it. Won’t name names either. If he wants to chime in he can.
Name names or I call BS. Please name JUST ONE boat operator or employee that has gotten into legal trouble due to a social media post.....just one.
What you are saying in your garbage posts is HEARSAY. Maybe it happened, but probably not. Unless the reader can verify your claims via 2 independent, non-involved parties, your post is worthless.
I will go on social media record as saying that deckhand John Smith, of the boat International Star, knowingly allowed his passengers to insufflate cocaine hydrochloride in both Mexican, and International waters, at various times during the early 1990's.
What does it matter? The captains and owners specifically ask you to leave all drug and drug paraphernalia at the dock. It's their house. When I am a guest in someone's house I respect their house and their rules I don't ask why.
Hmmm, I don't know. Perhaps because people keep replying to the thread?
Kill this thread already

Dammnnnnnn. Call out!
Thought this about toke, not coke.
This is the type of thinking we need in government.. actual progress!
It's happening, but the people who do it have enough respect to be very very low key about it.
Been on trips where guys were being dickheads and basically smoking out in the open and they were asked not to come back anymore. Most of the time the people smoking are a couple people waiting until everyone goes to sleep and sneaking a quick toke before going to bed.
Not sure, but I believe he's dead now. And not from natural causes. Was his nick name "Buckwheat"? If so, would you care to give us a name of a person that's alive? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Jesus christ, a month later and you guys are still bitching about marijuana on long range. If he/she wants to smoke it, so be it. If they get caught they get caught. It is what it is. Whats done is done.
