Was wondering if there are more skiers than snow boarder or vice versa at Mammoth

Pretty equal these days as skiing is coming back strong. Seems like more skiers on the steeps. Don’t go on weekends.

My last visit 2020 it was 60/40 snowboarders for the win
Snowboarders generally under 40 yrs old and skiers over 40

Definitely trending. We took a 15 year layoff until 3 seasons ago because of the kids. All the kids wanted, and ride boards. Wife a lifetime skier and she can’t be more pumped about the new ski designs. So much easier to ride, and shorter so you are seeing “kids” get into them as they can hit the parks on the new designs.

Yep even the kid's that snow board are expanding to ski as they can do more tricks!

I think a couple areas in Utah still don’t allow boarders. My son was a boarder when he went to Utah and was an instructor at a couple places his freshman year. By the next year he had sold his board and was a skier. It seems that boarding is heavily a California thing. Too many skaters and surfers!
