Really cool video. I was feeling kind of sad but that is the circle of life. Those seals are over populated and we need some population control. If I had my son on the boat, he would have liked it. He loves sharks.

We need more of these in Catalina Island. The seals and sea lions are getting out of control. They completely shut down a bite.

I wish there was A way to insert A tape worm into Sharks,
to make them be hungrier, so they would Eat more of them.

I'm sure the reason no claspers are visible is because of BD's editorial policy. :bath:

Caught a 8.5-9' mako 3days ago.. never again will I fish/cast on a surface mako... never again. That was a grueling fight. Just for me to release it hour plus some later. Measured it on the surface with my 8' gaff and it was longer as the tail shot past the gaffs edge

Mako, snaggle toothed and conical snout. Whites have more girth and the dorsal fin is more triangular. Also, the shark is female, which is typical for the larger sharks.

Pretty good video. Note how the makos (and whites) will tail their prey.

I had a 12 footer around the boat last year and I got it, with a camera that is. Let the shark live and put the pics on the wall. You got some good images of a large impressive shark.
