floor down with a layer of 1700. starting to get the cap pieces together. front will be a amsteel rope loop instead of a boweye. It will loop around the piece of stainless pipe i bedded into the bow. Getting there lots of work..also raised the hull sides in the rear to straighted out the sheerline. 1/4 melamine hot glued on then glassed over and cut to shape.
Pulled the boat out of the “workshop” to check how the lines looked. I think they came out great. Kinda contenderish hope the mako guys don’t throw me outta the club. Copying the lines on the other side and continuing on the cap supports. Hoping to have all the cap pieces cut by the end of this week.
I just now read through your entire build from the beginning for the very first time, and as I started reading along I quickly began praying to God that you would PLEASE be at a point very near to completion by the time I got to the end of the posts, because I so badly wanted to see how sweet everything turned out looking all said and done!!
Guess I’ll just have to be patient and follow along like everybody else….
Very nice work! Extremely impressive to say the least.
Have you undertaken a project on this scale before in the past?
Also, thanks for devoting all of the extra time that it without a doubt requires for you to take pics all along the way, and write up all of the descriptions & processes for us to be able to follow along with your project in such tremendous detail!
Thanks guys appreciate the kind words just trying to give back a little most of what I know has been learned on forums like this one. Lots more work to go but hopefully I can at least be underway by the spring. Not done but it’ll get to the sand bar
