Last couple trips have tried to make some macs for bait, but can’t seem to find them. I have tried just outside mission bay jetty, and bait barge for no luck.have you guys had any luck finding them? Any suggestions where to look?

My go to when it's not at the jetty is Crystal pier, but lately it has been super tough. Might resort to going to the bait barge or trying in the bay.

The mac's at MB jetty seem to be always there. You might have to look a bit. True, they are usually on the outside or the jetty.
But there are times they move into the channel. You have to meter around.

    I know a couple guys...
Go with a bunch of cans of cat food in a 99 cent store mesh undergarment laundry bag. Freeze half of the cans (take the frozen cans out the night before the trip).

Go the the jetty mouth or the bait barge and cloud the water with the chum. The half frozen cans will make it last a a while. Mack's will find you in no time.

Check in about 80 to 100 feet of water straight out of the jetty always seem to be there you halve to mark them first but once you find them you can make 50 pcs in 10 minutes.
