I got 500 yards of 65lb Izor solid on mine with room for a short top shot.
Wood, Power Pro is big here on the Northeast Coast, how is Izorline compared to it? Just curious as I will be going with hollow on this reel but other reels will need re spooling eventually.

I have only used Powerpro in the lighter diameters so I'll defer to F.I.S.H.Y on this one. I haven't had any issues with Izor so I'll continue to use it for solid braid.

For hollow, I've been using JB and Threadlock. I like both, but Threadlock seems to be my go to lately. For reference, I got 500 yards of 50 lb Threadlock hollow on my Mak 10 with room for a short top shot.

If it were me, I'd go with at least 60lb braid.

Good luck

For this reel, I decided to go with the 50lb threadlock, a good excuse to buy a second one of these and put some heavier line on it

Here are a few crappy pics but hopefully clear enough to see how full it is. There is 554 yards of the 50lb threadlock hollow on it, it's on pretty damn tight. I went this route bc of line capacity, its break strength and well, curiosity of it bc it's not very common around here. I'll be splicing some 80lb hollow into it, some 80lb flouro and then leader material onto that for some beach shark fishing hopefully within the next week.

Thank you for the info! I have three different models of these reels, and would like another this size and another 50Wll. The smallest model, I cannot get the reported line capacities so may sell it to invest in the 10. How have you been using your 15T?

Fly line with 55lb sunline Fluoro, had success early on in May on a sundowner bite and in June .(3 ) fish in the 55-60 lb range ... I’ve had the reel out 3 times and the 4th time out the reel is making a clicking noise when I turn the handle ... I’m sending it to Okuma in the next few days .

Upon recieving mine, it clearly had a clicking noise, the rep at Okuma could hear it over the phone and said it sounded like a dog that wasn't lined up properly. Sent it in and so on. Hopefully you get yours back quickly

It’s my first Mak , no complaints at all , I like the way line peels off while fly lining ... It has great free spool ..
