The Short Story... When out on the Glaspar with a good friend and his daughter to the 302. Left the docks at 0800 picked up some good dines and headed out in the fog towards the 302. Visibility was about 100 yards with glassy waters all day long with small swells 1-2'. Water temps 68-71@ the 302. Visibility improved around 1000. Could not see the Islands all day until 1500 @ 302. Found Three paddy's w/in 100' of each other with micro bait and 4-6 sardines for no love. Then off to the NW @ 300 yds. saw three birds and a small boil. Made a beeline towards it and stopped 50 yards from the boil and chummed. The rest is in the video. 30lb braid with 30lb. floro leaders. On Penn BTL II 5000 spinning reels and #2 hooks with live bait. Check out my friend's pole around the 5.24 minutes into the vid. Enjoy the vid...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Idlg4etXW0U

Looked like a nice trip, just two things--hat for the daughter before she gets roasted--which I suspect she did on that trip, hand lining never works as well as using the rod and reel, for sure.

awesome video and great day on the water. And yes....grabbing the line usually doesn't end well. But a great day to remember and laugh about!
